ActiveRain - The National "Global" Real Estate Network
"Hi Brad, I live in South Africa and would like to join AR. No luck. No way to join if you are from another country. Any chance of this changing soon? Colleen." This was a request and comment I received yesterday. We have received many requests lately from all over the world about joining ActiveRain. New Zealand, Indonesia, Australia, Mexico, Tahiti, parts of the UK and others. So in an effort to expand our Network and help create Global Real Estate connections and networking opportunities, we've setup an "International Home" for our World Wide Web of friends.

The State of: International, County of: International, City of: International have been created. Anyone outside the US and Canada can use this new option when they sign up. We will be setting up specific Countries as we continue to grow in these various locations.
If you are looking or have been waiting to join ActiveRain, no matter where you're located on earth, now you can do so by Clicking Here. As we expand our Global reach to other Countries, please take a moment to say hi, welcome, and recognize some of our new found International Friends.
In years past, having a network connection to others in our Industry "Globally" may have seemed a bit far fetched, but with WEB 2.0 and Networks like AR, the World has become a much smaller and accessible place. These are very exciting and fascinating times. I'm happy to do my part by flying out to Tahiti and presenting the first ActiveRain class. Jon? :-)
Is your Blog getting exposure in these other Countries? You bet it is!

It seemed like an appropriate time for a post and announcement like this...
HAPPYEARTH
DAY!
TREMENDOUS. We are in a worldwide market and a totally integrated society here in the South Seattle Renton area. We will be able to make great connections worldwide with AR.
List and Sell (we serve clients from all over the world) Gary @ RentonHomeFinder.com
Brad about time, I have had clients from New Zeland to Germany, boy I wished we had AR so I could choose a Realtor. Great move.Congrats on long overdue strategy.
Awesome! I look forward to meeting new 'Rainers from all over the globe soon.
Brad, all week I've been thinking how much fun it would be to post some of the Paris stuff in Localism Paris. Hmm. Would that work?
Brad, excellent news! I'm currently working with and soon going to have a settlement with my 4th client from overseas. People from other countries are coming to the U.S. to buy homes, and vice-versa (though probably less so), thus it's only natural we should be networking with agents in other countries. RE/MAX is already in 70+ countries -- it would be great if some of those agents could hop on Active Rain -- and now they can!
Brad - That's an excellent addition to AR. It will be interesting to see how many agents will join and how quickly!
Mary
It was bound too happen. . the Internet is uniting people more than we can imagine.. .
Wow! I'm getting dizzy. I'll check this out and see how I can use it. Thanks.
This has been a long time coming. Kudos!
Brad, Great announcement and it does go nicely with being at ReMax.
This is great news. I will check out the site to see the members from other countries
How cool is this!?!?! I am continually amazed at the contact I make here from all over the planet! This is a wonderful announcement and I look forward to meeting more new folks! I hope you are doing well and have a great week!
Great news Brad!!!! This is an awesome addition to our community!
WOW, Activerain, International ARI
Sound good, congratulation, sure this will double the membership.
Thanks Brad for this update we have been trying to work internationally and once again active rain is leading the way
Amazing! AR is worldly.
Can you say referrals? Great job. I will enjoy getting to know some new people from new places. Thanks Brad and the rest of the AR staff>
Active Brad, this is exciting that our world is growing so much! I love that we could soon be blogging with people all over the world! Kudos to ActiveRain!! Splish splash!!
This is great news Brad! I would love to put Buffalo Grove on the international map!
This is great news, Brad! Extending the network should help everyone.
It just so happens I'm available when you go to Tahiti - if you need someone to help carry your stuff. :-)
It's about time!
Brad,
There is tremendous interest in American real estate. Before I joined AR I use to syndicate my articles to sell my books. They were often reprinted in three languages on three continents.
Bill
Brad - In tracking the visitors to my site I have found folks from Australia, the UK, Newfoundland, Greenland, the Phillipines, Singapore, Johannesburg and more. The internet has tethered us all together and that's a wonderful feeling. Thanks to you and AR for making this adjustment so that our international visitors and industry friends can join and enjoy what we get to enjoy every day.
Brad... Activerain Covers the World, has a nice ring to it. I have seen an up tick in foreign investments looking for vacation or income property...it's a global economy I guess we have to get on board (but tighten up the spam filters a bit!).
Thanks for your comments everyone, I had to post this before I ran out the door this morning, (late last night..haha) I'll be on a bus for the next 9 hours on my way to Laughlin, NV. The tour bus leaves in an hour and I gotta run.
Like others, I'm looking forward to welcoming our International friends.
Happy Earth Day!
Brian - 70+ Countries? Sounds like a great opportunity to win the AR contest... if you're into winning another contest that is... :-))
Good Morning Brad,
This sounds like it's a good move! I hope it's safe!
Patricia Aulson/Portsmouth NH Real Estate
The world has no idea what they are in for! I call the clients in Australia! And Brad, since you don't have a passport, I will take your place on the other international adventures for now :)
Great timing.......... We just closed a deal from a buyer from Baghdad today. I will need to get his agent on board......
Brad, that is so great as there is such an interest in US real estate right now!
Brad,
This is wonderful! This is an opportunity for us expand our relocation referral network! Thanks.
Brad - that is some serious exposure, and I am grateful. Happy Earth Day!
Amazing. This is truly what the internet is all about! Welcome to all our new global friends!
Hi Brad... what an appropriate announcement for Earth Day! Going "Global" is great! I am sure it will bring some interesting new perspectives into the mix.
I think this is a great next step. There is so much we can learn and share with the rest of the world. Thanks
Brad - The doors and windows have been opened. This looks to add some interesting interaction. Very Cool
That's great to start bringing in the rest of the world!
Jorgen must be whittling down his massive project 'TO-DO' list and finally got to this one. We can all really benefit from the perspectives and insights of other professionals around the globe.
Brad - very good news. AR has been already recognized globally. The best is that we've got readers and clients from all over the world. I personally closed three deals this year with the International buyers who found me on AR.
Looking forard to more Real Estate people joining us here.
The next step will be - multilingual support. Go AR!
That will be nice for the people from India who have been posting in Indiana.... Mumbai Movers from Indiana.
Happy Earth Day... it's a small world after all, it's a small world after all, it's a small world after all, it's a small, small world...
Brad, Great news I like this expansion by AR, I know it will work out.
Brad - I can't believe how fast Active Rain has grown since I joined. That is wonderful that Active Rain is opened up for international use. It opens another door for agents to get connected.
Terrific news! The internet erased both geography and time, and am glad that the globalization of connections is at last occurring. Technology caught up with the concept?
Rather appropriate that AR goes Global on EarthDay - had to "Tweet" it this morning. LOL
And to think, I was the first 'international' member, yay! :-P
Brad--The power of the internet has made such a difference in our lives. It's bigger and smaller at the same time. Thanks for expanding my world.
The world is shrinking. Why shouldn't ActiveRain expand.
Can't wait to 'mingle' with our international associates.
This should be great news for London's Poppy Dinsey. Now she can move her profile from Anaheim CA to International.
Sounds good....is it safe?
Patricia AUlson/Portsmouth NH Real Estate
Very cool.
I keep writing about it but I continue to be amazed at the speed in which this community is growing.
Great! Good to know that we can network with international realtors across the globe, but........
It makes me want to cry. Jonathan Washburn's baby (AR) is growing up. I remember when....
earthsrealtor.com
Thought of that one a long time ago.
Brad, Congratulations! That is so cool.
Brad- I am so excited about this. I knew it was coming down the pipeline. It was just a matter of time. Since one of our niches is International Properties, even down to the name of our company this is going to be great networking for us.
Brad- I have the clustermaps on my blog and have tons of International readers. So now the ones that are agents can join!
Brad, How wonderful! I just welcomed the first 9 international friends who are new to Active Rain.
Amazing! We are really connected with the world now. This is a great news and development of Active Rain team! Good Job!
Brad..this is truly amazing...AR International..WOW. How can we find the new ARI members?
This is great news -- we need to go international -- good news.
I have always known I am in the right place with Activerain - this is a small world with the web connecting us - way to go!!
Brad: This is great ! If they meet the AR terms.. why not let others join.
This is great news.
Fabulous news, Brad! It's going to be fun to read posts from places near and far. (If you need anyone to call on any of the European communities, let me know -- I have an EU Passport and can work legally over there!)
Hi Brad: Very cool. And the world keeps getting smaller!
:)
In the not to distant future....
Long Static --- Active Rain.. Long Static again ---- This is SPIRIT Rover from Mars. We have connectivity issues. Please respond!
I hope this is real and not some April fools prank! Good work!
Good news. We work with international buyers on a regular basis.
WOW, Brad, that is very cool that we have International members on Active Rain now!
Wonderful developement, Thanks to all.
Hey Thanks for this info. I have been a member on Activerain for around 1 year now. I am from Puerto Rico and since there was no primary market I set Florida. But now I have changed it to International.
This is excellent especially with the amount of foreign investment in real estate taking place in the United States right now. Very good call - happy to see the AR ranks grow!
Great news Brad. We are currently working with a buyer in Germany. Quite a bit of the transactional volume in Jackson Hole is international in origin.
Congrats on the expansion. AR continues to grow!
Brad,
Excellent decision! It would be great if AR would accept Canadian funds so I can upgrade my blog too!!!
I appreciate you,
Brad,
It will be interesting to see how that all develops.
Brad,
We just knew it would be coming sooner or later. There is a lot going on internationally that can benefit ActiveRain members, here and abroad. And of course provide the real estate customer great service.
Brad,
This featured post disappeared before I had a chance to comment on it. Any way to reinstate at the bottom of the featured posts (more featured posts) and let us click on back a page or two to other older featured posts?
I guess I am going to have to change the number I put down for # of new members by a certain date! this should get the growth of activerain back on track:)
It'll be very interesting to read blogs from other countries, and how real estate is done there. I can already see by using Clicky that people from all over the world are looking at my blog. Now I'll be able to see theirs! Thanks Brad.

Brad,
This is a fantastic addition to the A/R community. Expanding internationally makes perfect sense. Thanks for growing this community.
Cheers.
Sorry guys for my lack of response here, I am in Laughlin Nevada in the middle of the desert and my internet and phone connection here have a lot to be desired. I'll be home Sunday night. If you're in the area, please stop by and see our Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band. We're performing at the Riverrun Casino in Laughlin, Don Laughlins first Casino ever built here. Last night was opening night and it was one of the best shows ever by these guys. We'd love to see you, I hope this comment makes it before I lose my connection again... :-)
Félicitations! Glückwunsch! ขอแสดงความยินดีด้วย! Masel tov! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Who would have thought?? You guys are doing great work with how real estate is working online. Thanks for all of your help!
Very cool. I am working with a buyer now from Saudi Arabia - she found my AR blog while looking for places in the US to retire to. Would love to network with these new 'out of town' realtor members.
Let me know when the class in Tahiti is - I would like to sign up for it. :)
And I got an email and a follow up call from a buyer in France this past week!
This is great news! I invited some SAfrica agent-friends early on in 2008, and there wasn't an avenue to have them join. (I did get rid of my clustermap, though, since they were advertising my competition on my site! yikes!)
P.S. I thought AR went international when 'That British Agent' (Sheldon) became a member! :-)
Awesome news Brad! I've been "away" from AR for a few weeks - trying to catch up on all the new! This will benefit us all!
Great news Brad. Does this mean we've all got to become multi-lingual? Looking forward to hearing from our foreign friends.
Our current area of interest is BELIZE and Central America, though we also operate Feature websites covering the world, e.g Waterfront, Resort
I didn't realize the international option was so new when i joined a few days ago. As others have said it is a great idea and appropriate since many areas of Real Estate are truly global in appeal these days. Buyers can literally come from any corner of the world these and the internet THE tool that helps us access them.
Very cool! Many of our buyers have come from outside the U.S., so this is really great news that we can further increase our international exposure.
