It is time again for a new ActiveBlog Theme! It is titled Blue Days and with this addition, there are now 21 themes available to customize your blog. So take a moment to check out the new theme. If you want to see how this theme looks & feels, visit my outside blog, http://activejeremy.com. There you can see how the links work, your picture loads & also all those fun Widgets! Below is a screenshot. Click on the picture to see the live version.
The next theme that we will be rolling out is going to be HUGE! So make sure you check back here regularly to not miss it!
Remember, changing your theme is a simple deal. All you have to do is head over to your outside blog after clicking on the link from the left hand side of your 'my home' page. Once on your outside blog, click the 'theme' link up at the top of the page and select the theme you want to use.

Looks good, now can you combine this with my own header?

Once again, Jeremy, you've given me even MORE to tinker with!! Hey, do you know anybody that would HELP me with a few of my online needs??!!
OH, and SLOW DOWN, I'm having trouble keeping UP!!
:-)
Wow ! I am just getting my feet wet ant to think of changing themes seems both overwhelming and exciting. I have highligted your info for a rainy day after I have a grasp on what I am doing. but thanks ever so much.
Todd- Right now, there are only a few themes that accept a Header. Check back though soon. Like I said, the next theme release should be HUGE!
I love it Jeremy! It's very nice looking...
oooooh I may go blue... for a bit. Changing a theme is so easy on ActiveRain. I have been using my brokerages theme... which is not like me but it looked so much better than the one I was using with customized header...
Think I'm happy with my current one - at least until I get a peek at the next one with which you're tempting us...
Looks good. You guys never sleep do you.

Jeremy -
Looks nice - will check this, and other "themes of the week" out until I find one that looks good!
Thanks for the hard work!

Jeremy, Thanks for the continual updates. They are much appreciated!
Jeremy, thank you for the information. I tried it (the blue days), but it makes my header disappear (it goes up so high, you can't see it). Is there any way to fix it?
Jeremy, good post....can't wait to see what I can do to tweak my theme on my WP blog....;-)
It's always fun to see what you guys come up with next. Keep them coming!
THANK you guys for adding more themes to the outside blogs.....
NOW...if you guys could add a link to ONE PAGE of featured posts to the groups homepages, I would be VERY happy...and so would about 1300 of my group members......
We find all prayer requests that way in the "Christianity and Real Estate" Group........ but currently it is VERY difficult if there are a lot of prayer requests........because the 4th one slips off the page.....
(I have asked MANY AR employees to move this request along.... could you try doing that for us, Jeremy?)
=-(
I like the feedburner widget - looks sharp
Jer...
I've been getting Google alerts on the outside blog ... everything is work great!
This is what I like about AR, always forward thinking and never sitting still. WTG!!
Jeremy - Your $19/month for an outside blog graphic ad is confusing. When you click on it, the signup page states that the fee is $29/month not $19/month. Can you fix your graphic and also clarify which is the correct price?
Can we tweak any of the themes with CSS or PHP, or are they pretty well locked down?
Jeremy, I check every Thursday and so far have kept with the Legacy - but this BlueDays theme is really nice! I might try that one out this week.
Looking forward to next weeks Thursday's Theme!
Marc, for you and I, it's about $23 (Canadian) per month, as per my last Visa statement.
(it's $19 U.S. ... or at least, that's what I was quoted).
REVISED:
As per Jeremy's info below. I learned something new today... again. :)
Thank you for the updated information. I went to my blog, just as you instructed and updated my outside blog. Also played around with a couple of widgets. Im like a kid when it comes to widgets, I probably play around with them too much.
Thank you again
Marc- since you are not a current rainmaker, you will need to pay $29.00/month. That allows your posts on ActiveRain to be viewed by the public as well as gives you the outside blog. You also are then able to post to Localism.com
Hi Jeremy...
Anything blue makes me think of water...water makes me thing of lake...lake makes me think of Lake Anna.
Will be checking back to see if you answer Todd's question.
Kate
Kate- See above, I already answered Todd's Question. :)
Looks like some great stuff. I just need more hours in the day to get more things done.
I love surprises ! Thanks for the new tips.
It is great that you guys keep adding new themes do give everyone more choices!
Jeremy: You never seem to amaze us.. Always working to make improvements in the rain ... Keep up the great job.
This is great. And you're right.... it's SUPER EASY to change a theme on your outside blog!
Kathy
Thank you for the information I have added a couple of widgets!
Jeremy - Excellent! Will be bookmarking for tomorrows read. Going to bed now. Thanks again!
Your wonderful posts remind me that I need to spend time keeping up with technology. I am definitely not harnessing all the technology that is available to do my job better. Thanks for the updates!
Great work guys. . always ahead of the pack!
Jeremy - you ALWAYS have the most terrific tips to help us all get the most out of AR. Thanks for this one! Probably be changing my theme this week!
My outside blog on AR is now getting indexed. Many thanks to the programmers.
My outside blogs are getting indexed too. Thanks.
I did change one of them to a different theme yesterday but am going to change it back. Or find another theme.
I decided against the blue theme because houses here do not look like that. Cute house... not a Central Ohio house. I tried it on and was reminded of the real estate websites where someone in rural Kansas has a same slick looking theme with a very urban looking home, just like a bunch of agents in urban areas. That's the problem with "themes. " I tried on the one with the clouds but I don't like that each image is framed. Looks great on some of the images but not all.
The problem with houses on themes is unless they are really white bread they may be attractive but they don't fit the region.
Like the blue - - - matches my branding colors - might have to try this
Just another reason to love my outside blog.
Are you available for coffee? My treat:-) I would love to borrow a widget or two in return. Gina
Jeremy - This one looks really cool. I need to look at the themes again soon!
Blanton - I should also look at themes again. Blue looks good on me:)
Thanks Jeremy for all your updates and hard work! Will check it out.
Jeremy, thanks for this. I need to get to work on my outside blog. I've bookmarked this.
Sharon
What? No Chameleon? ;)
Hey, I forgot to mention--I love the blue for you; matches your shirt perfectly!!
If you had anything to do with getting the NC blog site up and running...thanks!
How was Philly?!
Have a great evening!
(Can you tell I'm playing catch-up! Been CRAZY busy--but, most grateful!)
Jeremy I couldn't get the link to work to Brad's info on the Outside Blog so maybe you can help. With regards to picking a URL what exactly are they offering.
Please advise,
Thanks,
Al and Peggy Cunningham
