ActiveRain University Wants You!!
Now that the ActiveRain University is underway providing training and support sessions for our members, we want to send out this invitation to ALL members inviting them to come present at our new on-line campus. We are looking for volunteer members who wish to share their knowledge, successes, and "how-to's" with the rest of the community. We already have a few interested members who are willing and want to come share their secrets and tips on what has made them successful using their Blogs, Internet Marketing, and Social Media skills.
In the weeks ahead, we are inviting Special Guest Speakers, Presenters, and Trainers that are very influential in the Industry. Folks who are in the trenches using their knowledge and experience to benefit in today's economy and Real Estate Market, and who are excited about coming to join us and share. At some point soon, we will also open up sessions and classes for some of our AR Business Builders and Vendors to come in and share how to use their products and services more effectively and efficiently.
We already have our first ActiveRain member, Jennifer Martin who has agreed to come share with you, her insights and experience which stemmed from a comment she left on Kerrie Greenhalgh's "Success in the RAIN" Blog post. The date and time for her class will be this Friday at 3:00pm (see calendar for pre-registration)
Here is a link to our Speaker/Trainer Registration form. Just a couple things we need to know so that we can schedule you into a classroom on the dates and times you request. We'll also need your presentation topic that you'd like to share so we can setup the appropriate environment and tools you may need. It's a very easy going and relaxed campus, each presenter or trainer has up to an hour. We suggest 45 minute classes allowing 15 minutes at the end for Q&A. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

This invitation is open to ALL members regardless of which segment of the Industry you represent. Title Companies, Stagers, Home Warranty, Inspectors etc., you're all welcome to come "profess" and share.

This sounds like a very interesting idea... I teach MCE classes, but those are interactive. Not sure I would do good staring at a computer talking with myself... though I do talk to myself all the time, and also give great answers...

These webinars are interactive. People on the webinar will be able to ask questions. As the presenter you control the screen and you control when people can ask questions. Someone from AR will be helping run the courses and can monitor the chat room setting of the webinar for when people have questions. So in that respect, they will certainly be more interactive than you just talking to your computer.

Interesting - I might be game for this. Sadly it is 10:30PM, I have just now got on my computer to log on to ActiveRain, and still have a handful of pre-approvals to do. Teach? I can' even breath. Of course if this were December or so it would be a whole different story ;)

This is a great idea. RE/MAX has Agent training on demand (ATOD ) and RE/MAX Univeristy on Mainsteet so this concept is welcome by us!

It's nice to see a formal structure that can channel a lot of the ad hoc training that already takes place in hundreds of posts. There is so much to learn and so many people willing to share their information. That's one of the benefits that sets ActiveRain apart from any competition.
I am looking forward to hear & learn from the PROs!!! At this point in time I still have so much to learn...
The very thing that makes ActiveRain so valuable to so many is the sharing of information and support member to member. I have had much success with tutorials and helped a lot of members who just could not get things from the "experts". My success here is measured in referrals sure but my personal satisfaction comes from helping individual members do something that they want to do. Now if I could just figure out how to make a living that way I would be really happy!

This is really the coolest place to be. AR is the main reason I have been doing well in the business.
Claudette - the ARU calendar will have the list of topics and presenters. Everything you'll need will be on that page, the class, topic, speaker, date, time, and link to register. We're lining up additional classes now and will add them to the calendar once they're confirmed.

Larry - now that we've worked out some of the technical kinks on our new platform, yes, we will be recording and creating an archive of training sessions and guest speaker presentations. We already have quite a few responses from this post so I'll be adding topics, dates, times, and registration links to the ARU calendar today. The archived recordings will be available on that calendar as well. :-)

Cool idea, guys! I love it. And with AR having such a large following, and an experienced group of "oldtimers' you can really capitalize on their experience.

My degree being a BS in Ed does not help me to volunteer here because I really don't feel that I have anything that everyone else doesn't already have...
If there is anything else though that I can do to promote AR or anything else that it is doing, just shoot me an email. This place has been wonderful for my business...

Judi - don't be so modest and shy, I'm sure there are many things you could share that others don't already have. Give it a few days to think about, then fill out that form and let us know what you'd like to teach, train, present, or share. Even if it's just "Why and How this place has been wonderful for your business."

I would love to be able to share what I have learned on making Craigslist a major lead generator for my business. but I must admit I know nothing about wost webinars or online presentations. make we should have that class first? :)
